Add some texture to your fall decor with DIY art made out of buttons. This craft is really simple to make but the end result is so pretty you’ll want to display it on your wall, shelf or mantel!

You will need:

• Craft buttons
• Tacky glue
• A wood Plaque
• Acrylic craft paint
• Paintbrush
• Scissors

To begin, download the candy corn template here and print it out. The template is 4.5″ x 6″ but you can scale it to work with any size plaque you would like to use. Cut it out and trace it onto your wood plaque.

Use acrylic craft paint to fill in the outline.

Now fill in each section with a layer of buttons. Lay out the buttons before adding glue to see which arrangement looks best. Use a dot of tacky glue on the back of each button to glue it in place.

Continue adding overlapping layers of buttons to fill in the empty spaces until you get the look you want.

You can use this same technique to make any simple shape. Pair your candy corn with a pumpkin or fall leaves for an amazing addition to your home decor.
