DIY Felt Fall Leaf Wreath

It’s the best time of the year! Who doesn’t love beautiful fall leaves? This simple DIY wreath is an easy way to bring the colors of autumn to your home decor, even if you live somewhere where the leaves don’t change color. Grab a pumpkin spice latte and get crafting!

You will need:

  • Scissors
  • Felt
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Craft Wire
  • 14″ Metal Floral Hoop
  • Ribbon

First, cut out the felt leaves using the following pattern. I used 5 different colors of felt: ivory, mustard yellow, burnt orange, maroon, and chocolate. I used 2 12″ x 12″ sheets of each color and cut out one sheet using the larger leaf pattern and one sheet using the smaller leaf pattern.

Next, assemble pairs of leaves. Cut a 2.5″ piece of craft wire. Place a small amount of hot glue on the end of a leaf. Add the wire, then press the sides of the leaf together and hold until dry. Add a leaf to the other end of the wire in the same way.

Continue making sets of leaves until you have enough to cover the entire wreath.

Wrap each set of leaves around the hoop. I alternated colors but you could also add them in sections of each color for an ombre look.

Keep adding leaves until the wreath is covered. Make a bow with coordinating ribbon and attach to the wreath with hot glue. Hang indoors or outdoors for a festive fall touch!
