Father’s Day is coming up, and I just happen to discover popcorn bars. A snack that satisfies your sweet and salty cravings? I’m hooked. And bonus… if you like puns, then this project is for you and your favorite dad.
My daughters and I surprised their dad with a popcorn bar, who is practically a popcorn connoisseur… he only needed a touch of chocolate to mix with his favorite snack. But for all of the readers here, I’ve compiled a list below of some ideas you can include in your own popcorn bar.
Chocolate add-ins (our favorite): M&M’s, kit kat pieces, mini Reese’s, Raisin-ettes, Milk Duds, brownies cut in small pieces, Hershey kisses, Twix bars cut in smaller pieces, oreos
Candy: Mike & Ikes, Skittles, gummy bears, gummy worms, Sour Patch Kids, candy corn (if it’s in season), gum drops, Dots, Jelly Bellys
Other Mix-Ins: peanuts, marshmallows, coconut, pretzels, almonds, circus animal cookies
Don’t forget to include Dad’s favorite drink! (in our case, it’s soda POP).
Other party supplies: popcorn boxes, little buckets for add-ins, tablecloth, plates, napkins, utensils, my favorite gold straws, balloon letters, washi tape, cupcake liners
My girls helped cut out the letters, and of course it added the perfect touch.
Have a poppin’ Father’s Day!!!!
