College football is just around the corner and you know what that means! Football season always brings endless tailgate parties and lots and lots of good food. Here are some easy cupcakes you can bring to a party or use at your own- either way they’re sure to be a huge hit.

You only need a few things to pull these off and one of which is a personal favorite, chocolate cupcakes! You want to make sure you pick chocolate because that will be the base of your football.

Needed:

Chocolate cake mix

Chocolate and vanilla frosting

plastic bag (for dispersing frosting onto the cupcakes easier)

green cupcake wrappers

Get those cupcakes going and wait for them to cool, then spread a thick layer of chocolate frosting over the top of each cupcake. You can also use a plastic bag and cut out one corner to squeeze some frosting out. I decided to do both ways to see which football I would like better. Is your mouth watering yet?

Get another little plastic bag and cut out a teeny tiny piece of the tip. Squeeze a few white lines onto your cupcake so it resembles a cute little football. It took me a few tries to get a perfect straight line, but I realized that the smaller the hole you cut into the plastic bag for squeezing, the easier it was to control how straight my lines were.

The last step is to throw these cute cupcake wrappers around each football to represent grass. These football cupcakes are not only adorable, but they taste delicious and are an easy crowd pleaser. Plus, they’re so easy to put together and no one would even guess!
