Is there a more perfect summer fruit than watermelon? No. No there is not. Therefore, watermelon deserves some extra time in the spotlight at all of your parties this summer. Whether it’s a first birthday party (“You’re ONE in a melon!” Get it? Get it??), a church social, baby shower, or just a fun family BBQ, this juicy fruit will steal the show by making its appearance on these simple treat bags. Really, these are so easy. And they leave a big impact!

Supplies needed: cute pink paper bags, green washi tape, ” You’re One in a Melon ” labels, and yummy treats. Step one: stick one or two long strips of green washi tape along the bottom of your treat bags. Whatever you think will give it a good green “watermelon rind” look. Step two: print out and tape a “You’re one in a melon!” label on the front of each bag.  Step three: Fill bags with fun and yummy treats! Then fold top and tape closed. And you’re done! (see, I told you it was easy). One of my favorite parts of this DIY was the photo below -Because it has actual watermelon in it. Watermelon which I got to snack on in between shots. Oh my goodness people, it is watermelon season and I know how to pick a good watermelon! And now I just want to have watermelon parties all summer so my house will always be stocked with this beautiful fruit. Or maybe a full-on fruit party. Pineapple is high on my list too, you know.
