Easy St. Patty’s Day Decor

St. Patrick’s Day is one of those holidays that, in my opinion, doesn’t get as much credit as it deserves. Leprechauns, rainbows, and green, what more could we ask for?!? This fun DIY is perfect, no matter how big or small your festivities may be.

Materials Needed:

The first thing you will need to do is cut out some clovers from cardstock. For this DIY I used ten clovers in three different sizes and shades of green. Once you have all of your clovers ready you will want to use a hole puncher to punch holes in the tops of your clovers. At this time you will also want to set up your lanterns. I used 4 green and 4 white.

Next, cut strings in all different lengths. You will need to decide on a maximum length of strings before you start cutting. Tie the strings to the clovers and lanterns.

Once the strings are all tied lay the rod or stick on the ground or on a table. Start tying the tops of the strings to the rod and arrange them in various lengths to determine where you want them. This is all about preference. Use one simple knot so that you can move and rearrange them easily until it all comes together perfectly.

To hang it, loop two strands of fishing line and push pin them into the ceiling. Hang the two ends of the rod in the loops. Finish off the decor by tying tissue poms onto the end after it’s hanging.

Some other ideas for this can include doing more clovers/lanterns/tissue poms and making the strings longer to use as a photo back drop. Perhaps this would look lovely hanging over your dining table. This would also look really fun hanging in your front room window so everyone driving by outside could see. Oh so many options!! Where or how will you use this decor this year?
