The next two weeks will be full of Halloween parties and trick-or-treating. Don’t get caught empty handed. Take a few minutes this Halloween season to put together something a little extra special for the little ones in your life. These treat bags are a lot of fun to do with little helpers. They can help with deciding what to put in them as well as help with putting them together.

What to put in the bags: Make every mom and dad happy by not just putting treats in the bag. Throw in some spider rings and plastic bracelets to get the kids’ minds off sugar for at least thirty seconds. Just don’t forget some sweet treats too because it is Halloween after all.

Close up the goodies: There are two simple ways to close up the bags. The first method is really easy you just fold over the top and use some washi tape to seal the bag closed. The second method requires a whole punch and some baker’s twine. Fold over the top of the bag and punch two holes across the top. Use the baker’s twine through the two holes and tie a bow or knot to keep it closed. The reason I did both methods was so that I had one bag that was toddler ready and one for the big kids. I put gum and hard candies in the bags with the string so that I could pass those out to older kids.

These trick or treat bags are great to take to classroom parties, play dates with your friends, pass out as party favors at your own Halloween party, or pass out to trick or treaters on Halloween.
